A Historic Day at Paddle Palace Club

Ping-Pong Diplomacy is alive and well in Portland!

Paddle Palace Club had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco, including:

  • Consul General Zhang Jianmin
  • Madam Zheng Xin
  • Director Luo Shuang
  • Consul Meng Qinglin

Our club was proudly represented by:

  • Judy Hoarfrost, member of the original 1971 U.S. Ping-Pong Diplomacy Team
  • Ryan Hoarfrost
  • Head Coach Jiwei Xia
  • Sean O’Neill
  • Stacy Hoarfrost
  • Dan Hoarfrost
  • Ray King

The visit celebrated cultural exchange, international friendship, and the global spirit of table tennis. Guests toured our facilities, rallied with players, and engaged in spirited play that reminded us how powerful this sport can be in building bridges.

Enjoy some of moments of play, connection, and shared joy on the tables.

Thank you to our guests for their warmth and passion.
We look forward to future collaborations that promote friendship through sport!
