ICC PRE-TOURNAMENT TABLE TENNIS CAMP

ICC Table Tennis Center, host of this weekend's JUIC International Junior & Cadet Championships, was the site of a unique 3 day pre-tournament camp headed by ICC's Head Coach, Massimo Constantini. Twenty campers, 11 from foreign countries, participated in the camp. Players from Sweden, Canada, Trinidad, Ecuador, and Mexico made up 11 of the participating juniors who spent the better part of the last two days drilling together with their US counterparts, all doing their best to prepare for this weekends premiere junior event. Over 114 junior palyers will go toe-to-toe for the $6,000 in prize money. This marks the first time a US junior tournament has offered such a large purse.

Rajul Sheth, ICC Table Tennis Center Director said, "this has been a great start to what we hope will become an annual event bringing more international junior players to the US. The experience of playing with kids from other countries greatly benefits our US juniors' development and creates a great environment and atmoshpere for our sport."

Saturday, November 5th begins tournament play. Good luck to all the participants!
